If not satisfied with any item purchased from The Book Tree, you may return it for a refund within 30 days of invoice date. Just return it in the same condition with an explanation of the reason why. You will receive a complete refund if item is defective in some way, being an original defect of product (i.e., book printed with missing pages; dvd skips or won’t play). For all other reasons (changed your mind; already had one, etc.), items are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please return items in the original condition received, as clearly used items cannot be resold and may only be refunded with a 50% “used” rate. We are sorry if this sounds unfair, but our past policy of a “no questions asked” full and complete refund has been taken advantage of by people who began treating us like a library or rental house in exchange for full refunds – so our policy has been slightly modified. We very, very rarely trade or sell our customer lists to others. When this happens, it is only with similar companies whose products you would be sure to enjoy. If, however, you wish for us not to share your information with anyone else, just let us know and we will be happy to exclude you from such exposure.
